Fibrillated HDPE Additives
Our highly fibrillated HDPE additives are unique products with properties that offer many advantages over conventional additives, such as fumed silica or cellulosics, in certain applications. Their complex, highly branched polyolefin structure provides a high surface area that does not absorb moisture or other ingredients, is shelf stable, and is compatible with most chemicals.
Short Stuff® is suitable for a large number of CASE and cementitious construction applications, whereas ADMIXUS® Fibrillated HDPE is specifically intended for use in asphalt based pavement products.
"What do you mean, fibrillated?"
Fibrillated means each particle of Short Stuff® or ADMIXUS® HDPE is highly branched, containing multiple fibrils of varying sizes. This results in a three-dimensional network of filaments that provides benefits such as:
- more even distribution of other dry ingredients
- anti-settling properties that improve shelf stability
- dimensional stability, flexibility, and impact resistance
Our fibrillated HDPE products aren't your typical refined fibers, because they aren't made from fibers! They have a much higher degree of fibrillation, and they resist abrasion. Don't compromise your product performance with just any additive - find out what these unique products can do for you.
